MALCOLM X DAY CELEBRATION

First Annual Celebration of Malcolm X!

On May 19th 2021, Tendea Family had our first annual Malcolm X day Celebration Down Da Hill to commemorate the life, work and legacy of Minister Malcolm X who was born on May 19th, 1925.

We invited community members eat popcorn, watch and discuss Spike Lee's "Malcolm X" right after our grocery giveaway for those in need.

Those who came out also received a FREE copy of The Autobiography of Malcolm X. This event was is meany to honor the greatness of Minister Malcolm X and his impact on our community!
